Go Smart

Recently I learned about the smart telescopes. At a relative low price you can have a real image machine. I used it monitoring the sun.

The SeeStar S50 comes with a dark Solar filter, which allow exposure times in the range of 1-5ms. I replaced this filter with a K&F Concept Nano X-Serires ND 100000. This filter creates a better contrast and a slightly less exposure times. It's usefull to perform two exposures in scenary mode to determine the East - West orientation. This allow later to rotate an overlay multiple picture made by different dates.  Picture resolution is Full HD equal 1920 x 1080 pixel using the IMX 462 color CMOS with a pixel size of 2.9µm.
